I'm excited to get back to my gift guides! Today, I'm sharing my "wishes". It goes without saying that I'm thankful for all I have, but we all have a few santa wishes right? (well maybe not my Dad ;) ) Here's my list: - These slippers . I basically live in slippers around the house. They are a luxury really - little things like comfy feet keep me happy and warm. - I enjoy collecting art. Angela Moulton's little bird and flower paintings are precious. I would love a collection. - Twine and Twig is a favorite company of mine . I would wear every piece on their site but want to add this cuff to my collection of their jewelry. I make it a point to support small businesses all year long but especially during the holiday season. Sister's Elizabeth and Jacquelyn design and create these amazing pieces; they are inspired by nature and world travels. - I feel the same about gloves and mittens as I do slippers, these are on my list! - Wellies with style = ye...

Hello, Hello birdies!! How are you?? Happy Friyay by the way! I've been working my ass off on a holiday show house room this week..hence the silence. I'm excited that it's finally almost finished. I'm leaving to grab fresh flowers in a few and put on a the finishing touches before tonight's opening night party. It is at the Daniel Webster Estate in Marshfield. If you live near by, I would love for you to come visit!! I think historic preservation is a wonderful thing and was happy to decorate a room for the holiday show house. I could not move all of the existing furniture out of the space but I moved a few of the older Victorian pieces. I did however, truck in loads of greens, bows and beautiful objects. Here's some holiday loveliness on this dreary day in Boston. I'm a 'real greens' kind of girl but I do love a beautiful flocked tree. Even the  fake ones can be gorgeous! Courtesy of Pink Peonies . I'm off to put the finishing touches on the magical room we decorated at a historic estate in town. I know I discuss "what we all have" and "my wish lists on Shelter". I love beautiful "things" as much as anyone else but I also recognize the importance of giving back and thinking of those who are less fortunate. There are a number of organizations to help and many will match your donation today. The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has become known as "the international day of giving". I love this concept and can't think of a better way to spread cheer this holiday season than to donate to a wonderful cause. There are far too many helpful organizations to list but here are a few that I love. I feel education is a huge component in helping people. Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! This day kicks off the season of zero rules for me! I know, sounds bad, but I'm okay with dealing with the consequences later. I eat too much, drink too much, spend too much and laugh a ton for the next six weeks or so! Reality will set in mid-January but for now I'll be celebrating over here.
