Celebrate!

Image
Yesterday I shared my love of La Cornue ranges. I almost left out a another gorgeous color option: the white and copper! Copper is fast becoming another favorite design choice of mine. I'm completely in awe of Lauren's fresh, white, bright kitchen. It's designed with cooking, baking and storage in mind! Her entire home is pretty amazing actually. If you're on my holiday gift list and love to entertain, chances are you'll be receiving a copy of her book Celebrate . I am in desperate need of storage in my home. I may try to incorporate some floating shelving into my own home design.  Purchase here  Here is a video tour of her fabulous kitch! Images via My Domaine and People Magazine.

Loved the look

There are so many cute styles out right now, I'm having trouble containing myself and wallet! Today, I'm sharing my love of cropped jeans. They really give you the opportunity to show off all your adorable shoes. Here I've shared the look "two ways". One look is a bit dressier than the other but they are both fabulous! And design client friendly! Ummm, Jenna always looks perfect, no? I have a tan moto leather jacket and a pair of vintage cropped Levi's (someplace). I need to break them out and create this look too. Here are the deets on the goodies above: classic t shirt // leather moto jacket // sophia pump // top bracelet // arrow bracelet // aviators // button down // p ink sweater // loafers // cropped jean This budget friend sweater is 50% off and is another option.

Iconic dining chairs I've long loved unexpected furniture pairings. Placing a beautifully designed chair from one of the mid-century modern greats with a dining table isn't a new concept. I've had my mind buried in the idea all morning while searching for a client's perfect dining table companion. Here are some favorites along with the designer's name. A number of these are available new or as originals and can be found on sites such as First Dibs, Etsy and Ebay Saarinen - Tulip Chair  Marcel Breuer - Cesca Chair Michael Thonet - Bentwood chair 1950's reproductions. The original was designed in the 1800's. Warren Platner - Platner arm chair I WOULD love a brass set of these someday for a dining room.   Saarinen - Executive chair  Thayer Coggin by Milo Baughman - brass leg chairs Ray and Charles Eames - Eiffel Chair  Milo Baughman metal Chippendale Chairs (are a favorite) Harry Bertoia for Knoll dining chair

Wow, have I really posted 48 cottages on Shelter? I design small and large projects but always enjoy coming across a home that is tight on space but big on style! Here is my latest cottage crush. This sweet saltbox is home to a creative family in Sag Harbor. All the images are by Tria Giovan. (a favorite home photographer) via  There are too many details to list that I'm loving here. Here's a looksie.
