I can't tell you how jazzed I am for summer this year! There seems to be so many adorable goodies out there to add to my wish list and blog posts! As I wrap up purchasing the finishing touches for my design office, I can't help but to poke around and look at some of my past faves... Whitney Port's colorful work studio is far from stuffy..the colorful touches and dynamic art wall could get anyone's creative ideas flowing. Be sure to pop over to The Chalkboard where she stepped in as April's guest editor. (I too have been addicted to cashew milk and berry smoothie's lately) Whitney's wedding is also a visual treat! I especially loved the laid back vibe, non-traditional dress and lounge style outdoor seating..Guests could mingle and comfortably sit to sip their cocktails and chat with friends. HOLA, loves! This was meant for last Friday but it never happened.  I hosted a party at my home on Saturday after my son's First Communion. Between that, Mother's Day and the kid's sports it was a crazy three days..I was actually happy to see Monday morning. I hope you had a fabulous Mother's Day with your families.....I feel blessed to have my children and such a wonderful mother.. I know too, this can be a sad day for many for an array of reasons. We are all anxiously awaiting some warm weather here in the Northeast. I won't use my blog to bitch complain about the cold, wet, windy weather going on here all Spring but I will say this: I hope May brings some sunny warmth our way!! I still have my heat on! I CANNOT wait to head to the beach and am already planning out my summer. (Wishful thinking).. My desire for days at the beach and evenings on the porch inspired today's post .  Betsy Burnham is one of my favorites when it comes to residential interior design work! She's got a great eye for mixing detail, textiles and pattern. Here's a peek at 2014's Coastal Living showhouse she designed in collaboration with her partner, Max Humphrey. It's all sorts of good!! Just look at the California location....(I do envy most of their weather) Enjoy!!

I wanted to start off the week sharing a recent project I finished up in the South End of Boston. This was in a great condo overlooking looking the park. The issue was the kitchen and living area needed an overhaul! The client is from Texas and this is a second property she owns. She requested an open shelving concept with a touch of farm house appeal. I gutted the entire kitchen and removed a large wall.. The result was an open and airy kitchen that provided the client with as much storage and function as possible. I was thrilled with the result...and she was too!! We also didn't break the bank on this one! Shelter specializes not only on beautiful but livable interior design + decoration but space planning too. All photography: Sarah Winchester . Hola!! I'm getting back on track with my Friday "loves" post. I've been feeling pretty inspired lately. In the past three weeks I've traveled to The Bahamas, NYC and VT! I've been taking in the sites, sketching, working with fabulous clients and perusing my favorites, such as Insta and Pinterest. Here is what has been motivating me lately!! 1. House Beautiful looks sooooo good this month!! My favorite project was by Summer Thornton . It's pure perfection. And blue!! I love blue and my client's seem to as well! Speaking of blue, my bathroom is almost done and it's a yummy mix of deep royal, black, pink, marble and white!! I honestly CANNOT even wait to have my house shot! I hope my photographer is ready...It's going to be a long day...full of styling! eek!! 2. The off the shoulder dress or top is a "must have" this summer.
